MSI support responded to my web ticket, explaining that reseating RAM or graphics cards likely wouldn’t resolve the issue since a beep shouldn’t occur (lol). They shared the sound file and suggested consulting a technician, though I’m unsure where else to seek assistance. I suspected MSI might have more insight into their own systems.
It seems odd if MSI needs to check it—it might be a faulty motherboard.
I wish I had waited for the X570 tomahawk; the B450 did well, but this problem is making my OCD work overtime.
MSI forwarded my problem to the appropriate team with the sound file. They indicated it’s unlikely hardware is involved, as typical motherboard sounds appear in post and carry a code. My case shows a single beep inside the OS, not a hardware fault. They suspect a software issue triggering the beep and advised checking startup processes. Despite this, the problem persists even after reinstalling Windows twice. I’ve reached out to several people online but haven’t found anyone with a similar situation. Thanks for your help, and I’ll wait for the warranty period if anything worsens.
Hello! Have you ever fixed this problem with your motherboard? I assembled a PC using the same motherboard in July 2020 and I’m still hearing the identical single beep. Occasionally it happens during boot, other times after a while. Everything looks normal, but your OCD is definitely making this annoying. I also experienced two short beeps once before, though now it’s just one. We have the same HDD, and I think your original comment was about where the sound was coming from.
