I understand they're making progress on Redfall, but I thought they were almost finished. After checking more, it seems they pushed the release to the first half of next year. I'd really prefer if Redfall let us play as a vampire hunter with special weapons, but it looks like that's not the case.

Is it certain we can also act as vampires in single-player? Not entirely confident, but the information from that link lists mercenary, cryptozoologist, combat engineer, and college student as available characters.

It seems I might have misunderstood the game's premise. If we take on the role of mercs hunting them, I'm okay with that. However, upon closer look, it could feel a bit too simplistic.

After seeing this newest exclusive gameplay reveal, it seems less artificial than I anticipated. Meaning regardless of the gadgets you employ, you still need to rely on shooting. Since the player consensus suggests it mainly functions as a shooter, I’m sure to try it out.
