Calling it a bad port because of controller prompts feels overly petty. Why keep returning to Dark Souls discussions when there are other things to engage with? It seems you really don’t enjoy how FromSoft manages things—probably you’d prefer talking about games you like instead.

I've shared this before, but it seems you're not paying much attention. Everyone has their usual habits, and other things don't seem important. You rarely hear complaints over SMS when Project Cars doesn't work well with a keyboard. Some games need specific controls for the best experience. For PC players, we always have that choice, no matter what game or input method you use. Dark Souls works perfectly on PC—no mouse or keyboard needed. That's all I can say about it.

Let me sum up quickly: I’m new to Souls titles, finding them tough and visually bleak, so I’m curious about their appeal. What makes them worth trying? Which ones are best for beginners?

I understand racing games and Beat 'Em Up titles well. I’d agree with that. It makes sense if we consider it on portable devices, which isn’t the case here. Third-person experiences can shine even more with M+K support. Lords of the Fallen is just one example. Some people are simply careless, but you all have the Glasses on and dismiss every fair criticism about the technical issues—treat everything as if you’re part of FROM. Since you don’t want me to mention things like that, I’ll leave it to you. Perhaps sharing DS discussions in the Console area would be better, where games truly belong. Enjoy!
