Keeping an eye on the first two, thinking I’ll tackle all three together.
I just got the call off work today—it was supposed to be! I’ve never placed an order before, but DS3 is already preloaded on Steam and ready to play. I’m really excited… my PC is set up under the plasma TV and ready to go. I can’t wait for someone to come in and mess with me—someone who’s already got 100 hours of experience and loves to trash things with a +1 straight sword. Or maybe just a joke, but I’m not buying it. I’ll probably get one shot, and I’m hoping those old piledriver modules can run at 60fps with Radeon drivers, or at least keep the tearing under control. You’ve got a heart of gold, don’t let them take it from you…
Lol, good luck with that. Try playing them in sequence if possible and I strongly suggest summoning people to assist you. That's the only method to overcome certain areas or bosses. Oh, you're not aware of what you're missing. This isn't for everyone, so it's a good idea to watch some gameplay first to see if it aligns with your interests. It doesn't guide you and is very unforgiving. You'll face many losses. Lol The day off work? Ideal! Have fun! It won't unlock until after I finish work, so that's not something I support. A friend of mine has taken the next three days off just to stay home and play (and outpace us, the loser!). I'm switching monitors from a 24" 1080p to a 26" 1200p today—just in time.
I don't have specific details about DkS3's size in terms of areas or bosses. Could you provide more context or clarify what you're referring to?
Absolutely, that sounds like a solid upgrade. I’m curious if your 980 still runs smoothly at 60 FPS. You mentioned you’re hoping for AR options beyond 16:9—wouldn’t be surprising if it’s limited. The main concern now is figuring out what to do during the next six hours. Speaking of which, I’ve got some snacks on hand! Maybe a treat would help. MEC-777 actually said he didn’t want spoilers or game details, so I’m guessing he wouldn’t know the answer you’re seeking. You might find it by doing some research, but please keep your findings private—spoilers are off-limits. If you want, I can message you, but I’m not sure what I’d see if I did.
I'm still figuring things out until I try them. It's just a bit more than 300k pixels, and I've played many games at 1440 or even 4k with DSR—those 980s handle it easily. I can run ROTTR at 1440p with high settings and 60fps without any issues, so I'm not concerned about DS3 at 1920x1200. I'm interested in seeing how the DSR options perform and how they scale on this setup. Even if the game doesn't support 19:10, playing at 1080p with bars will still look better than 1080p on my current monitor. The pixel density might be a bit lower, but I'll just move the screen a little further back. It's an older display with only VGA and HDMI ports, but it's rarely used, and I'm hoping the image quality is decent. I can't complain about the price of just $100. If it doesn't look good, I'll just use it as a TV in the bedroom. What should I do while you wait? Watch movies or a TV series—the time will pass quickly.
