To preserve your Story Mode progress locally, you should save the specific game files on your computer. Typically, this involves exiting the game and using the built-in save function or a file manager to store the data in a folder. Since the cloud option isn’t available, focus on saving the game’s save directory manually.

I've reviewed it. It seems you can't just save it that way. Your game needs to connect with the rockstar servers. Just keep trying and enjoy the game. There aren't many options left.

It seems unclear, but your saves are stored in the social club folder. You can create and handle saves inside the game, which is much more effective than many other options.

There are some folders containing the game files, but their locations are unclear. If you weren’t aware of them, now you are. Also, why are you responding to my question when you don’t understand the answer? I’m just pointing out that your assistance isn’t really useful.

I've learned from sources that within Documents, you must store the rockstargames folder. However, I'm unsure which additional files are required inside the installation folder.

Your saves are located in Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Profiles, specifically the SGTAxxxxx files. You’ve backed them up and copied just those files, which should function correctly.

I handled it differently before, yet the game brings me right back to the start. I've heard you should gather a few additional files within the installation directory.
