You're trying to access the "Properties" of the Windows 11 command prompt and navigate to the Layout tab. It sounds like you're looking for guidance on Windows setup, but the instructions are unclear and the process feels overwhelming compared to what you're used to in Ubuntu. Since search results often don't help, let's try a simpler approach—maybe walk through the steps in plain terms or suggest alternative methods.

You're likely trying to modify something else, not the layout tab itself. Could you clarify what aspect you want to adjust?

Adjust the screen buffer size to 1000 pixels and ensure it works just for this window. I’m just hoping it won’t stay in place permanently, especially since it’s for school.

Adjust the equivalent setting to "Settings/Command Prompt/Advanced/History size." To restrict it to a single window, revert the default terminal application to Windows Console Host. Close Terminal and launch Command Prompt.

This is also a solution for anyone else reading who comes across this thread using Windows 11.
