To prepare for installing a new CPU+MBOX, you’ll need to erase Windows 8.1 64-bit completely. There are tools available that can help with this, such as disk cleanup utilities or specialized software designed for wiping drives. Let me know if you’d like recommendations! Thanks, soaringchicken.

After installing your new motherboard and accessories, open the Windows installer and pick advanced settings. Choose your hard drive and go to drive options, then click delete. If done properly, unaccolated space will appear. Select it and Windows will automatically format the recovery partition without prompting for format.

Launch Windows installation from your disc drive. Proceed through the installation steps until you reach "Upgrade" or "Custom," then choose "Custom." Open "Advanced Options," remove all detected partitions, and create a fresh one. Pick the primary partition (the biggest) and click "Format." After that, press "Next" and finish the setup.
