You've observed that your game drive space is shrinking even when you don't add new content. It might be related to how Steam handles updates. If you suspect it's hoarding old updates, you can clear them manually through Steam settings or by using a disk cleanup tool. To remove all old updates, consider uninstalling games one by one and checking for any leftover files in your drive.

Savings are typically stored in your documents folder. They might relate to game updates, but you can use Windstat on your Steam folder to check for any unusually large folders.

Consider removing unused folders in Steam's app list, such as old game directories that are no longer needed.

It might be the updates. They usually bring fixes and new features, which means replacing or adding content. Unless they chose to take something out of the game.

A third-party solution exists for removing extra software and old versions. http://sourceforge.net/projects/tikione/

I've tried it before, but the impact is small. The parts removed seem to reappear after you run a "verify integrity of cache" on the games or during updates. Also, GitHub and SourceForge have been compromised and aren't safe for software: https://github.com/jonathanlermitage/tik...r/releases
