It appears the DNS servers differ across each adapter. Adjusting the DNS settings manually to 1.1.1.1 might resolve the issue.

I recommend choosing a PCI express one. Many are PCI express 1x cards, which means the short slot. Some ASUS models have the antenna on an extension wire, letting you position them for better signal. You might also explore power line adapters or a Moca adapter, though those are probably beyond your budget, but worth considering.
