Tips for using a motherboard lacking an USB Type-C header
Hello, I need to upgrade my case to the Lian-Li 011 Dynamic. My current motherboard lacks an internal USB Type-C port, but it has two USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectors (Type-A). Could you confirm if that’s correct? I’m trying to decide between two solutions. The first involves using an internal 20-pin header adapter to a 19-pin female connector, which might be a bit awkward for cable management. The second option uses a front-panel header extension cable that’s cheaper and avoids bulky adapters. I’m not concerned about speed loss, just need the port to work. Thanks, leviathan1701
Couldn't you simply connect via the back port? For distance issues, a USB Type C extension cable works well—check out this link: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+type+c+ex..._ss_i_1_20
I need the back port enabled, though I’d prefer the front port to be active too.
