Hello,
I’m a 32-year-old father who mainly works with .net as a web developer and plan to work from home soon because my company has allowed it. I enjoy playing Dota2 with friends on weekends and am excited to start FFXIV since I’ll have more free time daily. I own a laptop with an AMD Radeon HD 8500M and am considering building a gaming PC on a budget. Here’s what I’ve selected so far, based on my limited experience:

Approximate Purchase Date: Late November or early December.
Budget Range: Equivalent to or less than $700 USD.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming
Do you need a monitor? No.
Parts to Upgrade: None.
Do you need to buy an operating system? No.
Preferred Websites for Parts: Amazon.in or I’ll purchase locally in my city, which should be cheaper.
Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Parts Preferences: AMD
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: N/A

The components I’ve chosen so far:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
GPU: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 6600 8GB
RAM: T-Fortune Delta DDR4 3600MHz 16GB (8*2)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 S2/H
SSD: 1TB NVMe M.2 Samsung Evo
Cooler: Stock AMD Wraith
Power Supply: 650W 80+ Bronze Antec CSK
Case: Not sure yet, but something affordable since it’ll be in an air-conditioned space.

Please let me know if you’d like to adjust or add anything while keeping the total under $700.
Thank You.

Yes, we can include links. Paul's Hardware shared a $700 build featuring a 5600 on a B550M and a 6600XT. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/sPl5a_XLsvE?si=AtxbsB-JW-todEh9

Here’s what you should consider. It’s a link from a YouTuber, but I5 12600kf for 140 bucks is quite an offer. Usually you’d pay around 200 dollars for a CPU. On YouTube, you can find boards like the b660 or 760. Don’t misunderstand, what you’ve chosen isn’t bad at all. I currently have a 5500 and a b450 board. I’m planning to use some of my components to build a PC for my parents. I’ll hand them my board and Windows license, maybe keep the 5500 for myself or sell it in a budget box on Facebook. It wasn’t built from scratch, but the Cooler Master QL300 case looks good and stylish. If you’re on a tight budget, check the used market. I just bought an RX 5600xt for about 85 dollars on eBay. It’s a 6GB card, but according to YouTube it should match the performance of the 6600. If you can find one for under 100 dollars, that’ll stretch your budget further. You might also consider the 5700 or 5700xt. I saw some 3060s for around 250 dollars recently.
