Your setup is solid for performance upgrades. The i3-9100f paired with 1050Ti should handle the i7-9700KF well, offering a noticeable boost. Since you're new to this, consider checking compatibility details and power delivery stability. A few tips: ensure proper cooling, verify BIOS support, and test with minimal workloads first. Let me know if you need more guidance!

It should work properly, though with an Intel stock cooler the temperatures could rise slightly.

Ensure the motherboard supports power limits and verify VRM quality. Improve cooling with a case with strong airflow. Consider an air cooler over an AIO for better VRM management. Expect performance gains from 4 to 8 cores, though results vary by game due to GPU limitations. The 1050 Ti remains functional but may lag in newer titles. CPU-heavy tasks will benefit more, while GPU demands often dictate overall performance.

In most games, the 9700KF works well with nearly any card available. It often paired nicely with the 2080 Ti in the past, though those setups were usually pushed to their limits. For today’s hardware, it’s not the best fit unless you’re overclocking. A modern RTX 3070 or RX 6800 would be ideal choices. The GTX 1650 or RX 570 offer only slight improvements over the 1050 Ti, so they’re probably unnecessary. Generally, you can stick with a GTX 1660 to an RTX 3070 from Nvidia or an RX 580 to an RX 6800 from AMD. The 1660 Ti is a reasonable option. If you manage to get a 2070 or 3060 class card, that would be the best option.

In summary, should you buy this item? It depends on your needs—especially if you stream Twitch. Let me know!

Based on the cost, it seems like a solid choice for an upgrade route. It offers a solid streaming performance. Bitwit tested this in their video and noted the 9700K performs well. With a 1050 Ti it should handle the workload easily. If you later switch to a Turing or Ampere card featuring the new NVENC encoder, you can boost your CPU capacity even further.

It is available for 230 euros, and I intend to pair it with the Artic Freezer 34 duo.

This offers a reasonable cost because it’s a straightforward upgrade. I’d also look into the 9900K(F) options. There are excellent Black Friday discounts for the Core i9 in the US, which could let you purchase that component at a comparable rate.

i9 could damage the VRM of the motherboard despite seeming compatible. It works with H310 too, but not well with i7. Avoid going beyond i5 models like 8400, 8500, 8600, 9400, or 9500/9600.
