Hello fellow CS:GO enthusiasts! Here’s what you need to know about your setup.
1. Are you using a custom-built machine or a ready-made one with standard components?
2. List the key parts—especially CPU and GPU—and share your frame rate results (including video quality and map).
3. If you can, mention the estimated cost of your PC; I’m planning to spend around 1000 EUR, mostly for CS:GO sessions.
Thanks ahead for your support, Jacob!

Handmade rig with [email protected] and GTX780. Smooth 1080p at 300fps on many maps. Even a potato plays CSGO nicely.

1070 with a 4690kHz at 400fps in 4K continuously. Is 4.5 the limit of your CPU? You can't reach 4.6 without 1.45 volts (4.5 at 1.345).

Consider purchasing something comparable now... around $800 likely. However, it seems excessive for just CSGO. You might achieve 144fps for about $500. My frame rate has been around 1.12v.

Thank you for your feedback. I also know I can maintain 144 fps reliably at a lower cost. I still want the highest possible frame rate for competitive gaming and consistent aiming performance.

A frame rate above your monitor's refresh rate doesn't improve smoothness.

I'm using a laptop with Windows 10 2. G4560 and an RX 470/570 graphics card works fine. A good example is pairing a Ryzen 1600 + RX 480. CPU specs: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz, 6 cores. Motherboard: Asus PRIME B350M-A Micro ATX AM4 (€84.99 on Amazon). RAM: Kingston Savage 8GB DDR4-3000 (€77.01). Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SSD (€50.73). Graphics: Sapphire Radeon RX 480 4GB NITRO+ (€224.99). Case: BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower (€39.99). Power supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W (€65.36). All costs are shown with shipping, taxes, and any available discounts. This total comes from PCPartPicker, May 13 2017, 19:36 CEST. Prices are in Euros.

I'm testing 6700K at 4.5ghz with a 1.26vcore and GTX 1070 OCed 2050mhz core plus +450 boost on RAM on a 1440p screen. Black Ops 1 should feel similar in performance to CS:GO, especially when capped at 200fps with top settings and about 40% GPU usage. My PC is more than enough for CS:GO, but you can push it to very high frames if you're up for it.
