I've been playing Civ 5 for a while, but I'm consistently lagging in arms and research. I often lose because I fall behind others. Anyone got advice on how to improve? Thanks, Maybach123!

Played for half an hour, completely confused about what I was doing. The full edition is still a mystery to me. I only paid $9 for it.

You're facing a tough challenge. Everything under Prince should help you beat the AI. Here are some suggestions: focus on building for production early, research sciences that give you an edge right away, after constructing the monument, hire workers unless you're diving into the Liberty culture tree. Check out the culture trees that align with your civilization and playstyle. These guidelines are general and can vary based on your starting point, civilization, and strategy.

Begin with the Great Library, then move to Education, and continue with military training. Postpone Sailing until you enter the Renaissance era, as it offers more flexibility. Ensure you have the Great Library completed before progressing to the lower levels of the tech tree.
