Fuma 3 is fresh and superior to mugen. The price here in the UK is 76 pounds.
I recommend the deepcool ak620 digital.

We're considering a 970 Evo Plus in 2023 because it meets our needs. A gen4 SSD is sufficient, and even gen4s are affordable. Lexar and teamgroup offer models that handle around 7000mbps, and liquid cooling is essential, particularly for a high-end build with 4k at 120fps.

SSD: Random access remains consistent across different generations. Direct storage will become viable once it really gains traction, but currently 3500 Mbps is still sufficient.
Cooling: depends on the CPU. I favor airflow and make adjustments accordingly. Running at 13700k in air works well with default settings; unlike in the past when overclocking made a big impact, now it's unnecessary to overclock or worry about leaks, corrosion, or pump issues.

3500mbps could be sufficient, but it doesn’t offer good value for the cost.
I felt the same before, but with AIOs there’s usually minimal leakage, corrosion, or pump issues.
I’ve assembled more than 100 PCs using liquid cooling, and the only problems I encountered were during a recall on the MSI CoreLiquid 240.
I used it on a few projects, so about 6 out of 127 PCs experienced issues. One might argue that supports this view, but with a 4.7% failure rate, it seems mostly due to a recall they quickly fixed — I accept that.
It’s rumored that air cooling isn’t enough for high-end CPUs like the 13700k and above, as they consume a lot of power and get very hot. And unlocking a K processor really makes a big difference. Whether it’s old or new, unlocking a K processor always improves performance.

Most of the operations occur through random read and write actions. You can observe the performance on the partscanner website for around half of the available models. This remains superior to some PCIe 4.0 devices.

I just don't see any reason to recommend a 970 Evo Plus at 1TB for $50 when the 980 Pro can be had for 1TB @ $60, only 10 bucks more
but hey, if you guys wanna recommend 4 year old tech to someone, I won't stop you -- as much as I want to
😆
and to your point, as per pcpartpicker, the random read/write on the 970 Evo Plus is 392 & 1360 and the 980 Pro is 461 & 1600 for only 10 bucks more.
So why recommend the 970 Evo Plus?

The 13900K and 13600K chips handle gaming temperatures well and performance remains similar across different coolers. The push for liquid cooling likely stemmed from a competition among motherboard manufacturers to outdo each other, affecting the end user experience. Who is responsible? It may be Intel not strictly following their guidelines, or the board vendors opting out of those standards. This situation might have arisen when buyers who bought the chips specifically for gaming underestimated the performance and decided to test them with benchmarks like Cinebench or Timespy. They should have been warned about this.
