ROG Crosshair 8 hero RAM specs are all off. I recently upgraded from an old X99 2011v3 board, which still had an Asus board and similar BIOS. I’m struggling to find a way to load the XMP profile so my memory can hit the advertised speeds. My setup is PC3200 Corsair Vengeance Pro C16 with four 8GB modules (4x8) at speeds of 16-18-18-36MHz. When I check CPU-Z, it displays these numbers. Am I missing something? I’d like to push my memory performance safely without risking a crash. A slight overclock would be fine but not necessary. The rest of the system includes an AMD Ryzen 3600 (air cooled with stock cooler, no large fan nearby), an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (non-WiFi) 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB kit, a Samsung EVO 970 Gen3 500GB M.2 drive, a WD 1TB HDD, a 500GB EVGA G5 PSU, an EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 case, plenty of Corsair LL120 fans, plus Phanteks Enthoo 719.
Asus AMD boards use XMP as DOCP by default. Would you like to switch it?
