Timing issues in Ram overclocking
Hello, I'm seeking advice on adjusting my Corsair Vengeance RAM for 3000MHz. Every time I switch to the profile 1 settings, my games crash. I have an AMD R7 2700X, an Asus B450, a ROG Strix Asus RTX 2060, and a 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. My cooling setup includes a 650W 80 Plus Bronze unit and a Noctua NH-D15. Please suggest the best approach. Thank you in advance.
The official supported frequency is just under 2933mhz. You're filling all Dimm slots, which puts a strain on the memory controller. Consider adjusting DOCP to a lower manual frequency. Begin around 2666 and gradually increase up to 3000mhz. Set memory voltage between 1.350 and 1.400v, disable power down mode, and configure SOC voltage at 1.100v manually.
Thanks, I'm definitely giving it a shot and checking on its progress.
I’ve tried setting everything automatically, but I manually adjusted the frequency to 2933 since 3000 causes crashes. I also set my DRAM voltage to 1.350000 and it’s improving performance by about 10 FPS in MHW without any crashes, though it’s still not solid yet.
I recommend reducing the latency to achieve the same performance as faster RAM. For example, a CL16 with 3200 will behave similarly to a CL15 with 3000. This should assist you.
