Hi everyone, do you have any reliable information on RAM timings for this motherboard (ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING WIFI II) when using four 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro sticks? I’ve confirmed the board supports it, but it seems to auto-detect a slower base speed (2133MHz) yet adjusts timings aggressively—reporting values like 15-15-15-36. After manually setting the frequency to 3600MHz and trying to find XMP/EXPO settings under AI-Tweaker, I haven’t located anything. I’ve already locked down some critical timings and managed to boot, but I want to double-check that nothing else is set too high. There are many timing options out there. Thanks! Dave
The mobile device doesn't automatically adjust RAM speed; that's Windows. Turning on DOCP would allow you to customize and stabilize the timing settings.
You lack software on Windows for adjusting RAM speeds, and even with the DOCP profile enabled in BIOS, it isn’t working.
I don't think any program can alter RAM speed. DOCP not updating might mean the RAM isn't listed in the motherboard's specifications. Have you verified that?
Interesting fact: neither my corsair revenge nor my GSKill trident will send a post with 1.35. When overclocked (XMP or otherwise), they require at least 1.36... (It's funny when I enable XMP, the card auto-sets it to 1.36). Another odd thing—my old vengeance 3200 RAM (2xKIT) didn’t run at 3200, but 2933 did?
It seems there could be some confusion here. Four sticks are often tough to run, but using just one might work fine right away. This issue mainly affects manufacturers that include four RAM slots, even though they usually only support standard speeds—especially on AMD boards, though Intel might handle it better in practice.
All right, thank you for the feedback. I confirmed the recommendation to limit modules to two, but they asked for four for better RGB performance. I checked that this RAM works with the board for four modules simultaneously. Using the XMP profile from the RAM (which includes overclocking settings) adjusted the voltage and speed correctly, though it didn’t boot automatically. I switched to auto mode and the voltage read matched (1.35V). Later, CPU-Z reported Command Rate at 1T, even though I verified it should be 2T in BIOS. The system ran smoothly through Windows Memory Test, OCCT, Furmark, and handled high temps well. We’re all set, thanks for your support!
