like in games such as Farmville or TrainStation where farming or completing tasks requires time. imagine a crop that needs 6 hours to grow, but you won’t be there when it’s done, so you set a timer.

with the number of players worldwide, there must be a system designed for this.

Mobile games use notifications for this purpose. It's a bit bothersome, isn't it? You could manage reminders through any task manager app, such as Google tasks.
