You should check for a good controller with responsive buttons and comfortable grip. Look for features like customizable buttons, adjustable sensitivity, and ergonomic design. A reliable audio setup and clear visuals will also enhance your experience.

It should allow simple fine-tuning, include thumb controls and a trigger, and likely support throttle adjustment via joystick or separate input.

You should be able to notice if you can fine-tune things in the shop.

if you give it a chance then yes, you should be able to make tiny adjustments with it. That’s all I can manage, but I’ve heard some people face issues. You’d want it to be easy to move around or at least not too tough, since heavy effort could lead to mistakes.

I’ll describe the controls you’d see for throttle input. You can imagine a diagram or screenshot showing a gear or button labeled “Throttle” with arrows pointing to its position, and maybe a visual of a car’s throttle linkage. Let me know if you need a detailed description!

you have a lever at the bottom that controls the throttle—it works well, has plenty of buttons, and is easy to adjust. I’m looking for something similar. The model you mentioned is likely a Saitek ST290 Pro; it’s affordable, made of plastic, but offers solid performance if you find a used one.
