Hello, I own an Asus n56jr and noticed the performance drops around 50%. I reduced the CPU frequency and lowered the voltage by -70 mV. Temperatures were stable until after launching Battlefield 4, then I experienced around 110-145 FPS on GTX 760m, followed by stuttering and thermal throttling exceeding 50%. This only occurs when using the GPU, with CPU temperatures reaching 70-75°C while the GPU spikes above 90°C. The games become unplayable. Any solutions?

Begin by completely eliminating all previous drivers. Visit this link: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/.
Choose the specific company drivers (such as Nvidia or ATI) to uninstall.
Apply the clean and restart option.
After rebooting, install the new drivers.
What is your budget?

Is the laptop outdated? Consider reapplying thermal paste. Use a cooling pad.

Alan Caldwell suggests reapplying thermal paste, using a cooling pad, and checking if the laptop is still recent. He asks about software-related issues and inquires about the effectiveness of laptop vacuums.

I actually figured it out, I had to set the frame rate limit to 60 FPS, but my PC is still around 87-89°C and it's not slowing down. Thanks everyone for the help!

I was checking various videos about taking apart the N56J, but they all warn against doing it.
None of them demonstrate the laptop powering on after disassembly.
How can I keep the device cooler from the outside?
Or is there a way to reduce the CPU's heat without pushing it to maximum performance?
Reviews mention that connecting the video screen is difficult.
What temperature controls are available for this CPU?
