I own an MSI GF 63 thin 9RC that I purchased ten months ago. Everything worked well until three days ago when it began overheating. I reduced the voltage to -0.150V and it started showing power limit throttling even after resetting. The CPU isn’t reaching its full clock speed during stress tests, and I can’t play games. Please help me remove this power limit restriction.

Have you attempted to clean the laptop or replace the thermal paste?

I finished cleaning the laptop but thermal throttling persisted. I lowered the voltage on Intel XTU and now my CPU is stuck at 2.7GHz despite temperatures reaching 77°C instead of the expected 90°C.

The limit throttling mechanism functions differently You aren't affected by undervoltage and power throttling

Are there any fixes? Could thermal repasting halt the process?

Adjust the power limit slider to maximum and see if it resolves the issue
