Throttling issue with 5i5-9300h processor on Lenovo L340-15irh model
Hey, I got it 5 years ago and yesterday i checked AIDA64 Test and today i drived to store and buyed natec NPT-1581 got back home. Changed thermal paste cleaned but no results same temperatures. No throttling only when power plan is not 100% but 99% and when it 99% it's small clocks. I need to buy another thermal paste? All screen shots : https://imgur.com/a/K9bZ5nP Sorry for my bad english.
It only limits performance under AIDA64 or stress tests. Under regular use or gaming, it shouldn't affect things unless you keep the system at full capacity constantly.
It's easy to point the finger at the poor cooling performance of your laptop. I suggest investing in an external cooler, though I don’t have many solid recommendations. Salem Techsperts discussed a couple, but they’re the only ones I’ve heard about. You can watch their video here.
What kind of thermal paste did you apply? Common options like MX-4 often lose effectiveness within a week on a mobile CPU. The material can ooze away rapidly until no residue remains between the heatsink and processor. Consider using Honeywell PTM 7950 for better, longer-lasting performance.
