I recently acquired an Alienware m15 R7 and encountered a frustrating issue. The main challenge I’m facing is with the Killer Wi-Fi adapter, which appears to be functioning but limits performance to around 80Mb/s or even 10MB/s. It seems software or hardware factors are restricting speeds. I’ve checked online for similar problems, but most fixes didn’t apply to my setup. I attempted resetting the adapter, restarting my laptop, updating drivers, adjusting power settings, yet nothing resolved the issue. I’m reaching out for advice if anyone has any suggestions.

The 880 Mb/s speed feels reasonable for a 1 gig plan. Your 1400 Mb/s Comcast plan usually delivers only 600-700 Mb/s even at times. Have you checked if other devices also achieve the full gigabit?
Just verify if there are any QoS settings or optimizations active, then turn them off. Consider removing the software entirely and testing with just the driver. This is because unlike Telus, Crapcast fully supports Docsis, which is considered less effective than Fiber. There are many reasons speeds vary, but congestion on nodes is a major factor. Each node has limited bandwidth and may handle over 100 users depending on your location within their network. We’re grateful we usually don’t experience heavy congestion on this segment of the Comcast network, though they can still impose limits.
That's correct, my primary desktop machine usually handles 100MB/s or about 880Mb/s.
