Throttle CPU Pl2 to manage performance.
While playing a game two days ago, my performance dropped significantly and I noticed lag. I checked the settings but nothing changed. My laptop hasn’t been used much before this issue started, and I’m not sure what caused it. Could someone assist me?
In the TPL window, skip verifying Power Balance. Adjust the PP0 Power Limit to zero, click Apply, then remove the checkbox and press OK. These steps aren't required. Avoid checking Sync MMIO. Look at the MMIO Lock option in the top-right corner of the TPL window. Choose a Turbo Time Limit value compatible with your CPU—28 seconds works. Just because ThrottleStop allows long durations doesn't mean it's safe; it might be due to a Windows Update issue. Hopefully, confirming the MMIO Lock will resolve the issue. If not, removing the Intel dynamic tuning driver is the next step.
