Three folders synchronization
Three folders synchronization
Search for a solution to maintain three folders together using USB, G-drive, or one-drive storage. Updated March 21, 2015 by Arty
I have a USB stick, a Google Drive folder, and a OneDrive folder. Both the USB and the cloud folders are on my desktop, and they sync automatically. When I bring my USB to school, I want everything to stay updated so I can sync changes instantly when I get home.
Although I haven't tested it, it seems like a possible solution (though a bit unusual). Create a folder on your computer and place all the files you wish to sync there. Set up symbolic links to that folder in Google Drive and OneDrive. Transfer items manually between the folder and your USB drive. There might be a more suitable option or software available, but this is what I considered. EDIT: Moved to Operating Systems and Software.
thx, here’s what I did first. Then I used software to link the USB drive folder and then synced one drive with Google Drive—all in one go.
My approach involves just one small change. The symbolic links cause Google Drive and OneDrive to believe they have the complete folder, even though it's actually a link to the synced USB drive. It’s unlikely you’ll discover a program that can sync your USB directly to your computer and upload it to those services.
