I upgraded my I3 4130 to an I7 4770. After checking it in CPUZ and Task Manager, it reported only 2 cores and 4 threads. I spent time looking for the issue and found that disabling Hyperthreading would fix it. My Task Manager now shows 4 cores and 4 threads, which matches the specs of the I7 4770 (4 cores, 8 threads). I tried turning off the cores in msconfig and reinstalling Windows, but the problem persisted. My current specs are: motherboard Gigabyte-B85m-D2V, GPU GTX 1050Ti, RAM HyperX 1x8GB.

No, the BIOS hasn't been reloaded. It's configured to permit access to every CPU core.

Turning off Hyper-Threading restricts the CPU to four threads. Activating all eight requires enabling Hyper-Threading in the BIOS, not disabling it. Restart the system and verify the settings—should display four cores with eight threads once configured correctly.
