I used it on Windows 8.1 but it failed after upgrading. My screen resolution is 1650x1050. It's a desktop PC with an AMD processor and graphics card. I'm attempting to play the original game, which I didn't really enjoy.

Attempt to execute zero hour first, see if that helps. Also, check whether you followed the steps I outlined in my previous message.
