Thoughts on Windows 10?
I'll wait until they push for an upgrade because of Direct X12. My license is also in trouble since I changed the motherboard.
It's quite beneficial since it saves time, supports DirectX12, and covers all your needs.
I'll wait until the release later this month to evaluate its performance.
I've tried it and I find the Cortana voice search pleasant, the star menu offers a refreshing alternative to the old layout, and everything feels more streamlined—though that might feel too simple for some and too complex for others in terms of settings.
I haven’t tried the developer preview recently, but it performed well back then. It looks promising—this OS is going to be great once the quirks are fixed. Fingers crossed they get it right.
If it makes sense? I’ll inform you when Win10 is available. Return next week, create a new thread, and ask again.
I am very unhappy with the Windows Updates in Windows 10. It has completely ruined the Tech Preview experience. Far from being up-to-date, the Windows 10 TP lags significantly behind Windows 7 RC and Windows 8 Customer Preview at all times. Personally, I believe Microsoft is releasing features they recognize won’t work, hoping to gather feedback for improvements. Still, it’s worth mentioning. From my perspective, Windows 10 seems to be moving in the wrong direction, but I’ll give it a try.
