I purchased an RTX 4080 and received Diablo 4 as a gift. Is this title enjoyable? I’ve never played any Diablo games before.

Its actually very good! Its a nice ARPG and the diablo fanbase is huge. I only played Diablo 3 and a little Diablo 2 ressurected, and I pre-ordered Diablo 4 and I am having a great time. Visually the game is absolutely stunning, I run at 1440p ultra 144fps with my 4080. I love these games where you progressively get better gear and points to spend in talents etc, there are a lot of different mechanics and endgame, easy to sink thousands of hours into. I would absolutely recommend it. You can also play it very casually and still have a ton of fun.

I'm really enjoying this experience so far (level 20, not too long). Visually in 4K OLED with a 4090, it looks stunning, consistently stays within my 120fps limit while maintaining top-notch quality without any DLSS or FG effects.

Level 71 offers 4K resolution at 240Hz. The DLSS quality setting hasn’t caused any visual issues, and it effectively doubles the frame rate. I’m currently using full ultra 4K with DLSS at 240fps.

Great game. One of few AAA game that doesn't suck this year.

I was facing the same situation. I bought a 4090 with a complimentary game code. I didn't expect to enjoy a game like Diablo, but it's been really entertaining so far.

I've placed the Ultimate Edition on PS5 and I'm enjoying the experience. Playing as a Necromancer in Diablo III was a highlight, which is why I picked that role for Diablo IV too—it's really rewarding to crush enemies with a squad of minions and unleash Corpse Explosion.

I receive the appeal, but that’s precisely what I dislike about certain games (and I usually play them without making much progress, which is naturally annoying, but I just favor skill-based titles over collecting orbs and eventually becoming completely unstoppable through grinding). Some games manage this well, most turn out to be very monotonous and repetitive quickly... by the way, that’s why I’m thrilled they removed the “pve” feature from OW... I know I’d hate it too. The game is already quite chaotic with its various upgrades, which sometimes feels odd how quickly some people pay for rapid progression. Also, these upgrade mechanics open up a whole range of cheating options because abilities can be changed or upgraded in many ways. So, yeah, I understand, it’s not my style.

Its a great game you should try it if you got it free. The story is great and satisfying. The lighting/sound/music is 10/10. If you like arpgs then you should check it out. Its arguably the best in the franchise. The fact its a "live" game and getting constant changes/upgrades is a first for the series and the devs are definitely "all in" for it. Builds and classes are varied and each one plays different in how it feels. Its a great mix of some diablo 3 and diablo 2. You have nothing to lose for a freebie. Try it out. Don`t get all caught up in people review bombing it.

Is this occurring? I’m only noticing compliments everywhere these days. It’s really invigorating to see such positive feedback, especially after a major AAA release.
