Seems okay as is. If anything, making changes to the Windows 8 boot logo would be simpler than with version 7. Manufacturers often handle updates for version 8 just like they do for version 7.

I haven't tested it yet, but from the appearance it seems to be a C# .NET application. Install .NET 3.5 via Program and Features in Windows 8, restart, and check functionality.
