Hello everyone, hope you're all well. Stay safe and healthy! Your thoughts matter a lot to me. We all know Bethesda surprised fans by releasing the Oblivion Remaster at the same time. I've seen many positive reactions online, but it's clear the gameplay is still from 19 years ago. Is it fun when you play realistic games like KDC2 or BG3? People have raised their expectations as technology improves. Feel free to share your opinions.

It really brings back memories for me. That made choosing simple. Have you tried the original version? Are you into role-playing games? Do you enjoy Bethesda titles like Fallout or Elder Scrolls?

The remastered version might have launched on the market today and still been appreciated. It wouldn’t need to be a blockbuster to earn praise—especially if priced at $40 with the promise of a double A title. The idea of it being a fresh experience, not tied to any familiar franchise or expectations, could work well.

It feels like a classic Oblivion experience with a few tweaks to the mechanics. The main issue is the poor local area map, which is the only drawback. A better shell would be ideal. As before, it's a great nostalgic return.

Hey @NinJake Thnx for your opinion Yea I like dark soul games, witcher and fallout...however my taste for rgp games have changed after playing witcher 3. I hv player skyrim when I was in college(completed my 1st semester) but didn't played it as I hv said before, before witcher my taste for an rpg was way too sour.

Yeah, I get your perspective, but do you think it's actually better than kdc2?

Good gameplay always shines, no matter the age. That’s why many Nintendo titles remain beloved classics. You may overlook certain features, but it’s likely the remaster included those improvements.

It might be a bit less hands-on than today’s titles, yet familiar mechanics still work well. Quick travel and clear quest signs are really useful when you’re confused.
