Hello everyone, I’m facing a problem where my computer always defaults to Intel graphics even after a clean install. It doesn’t matter what updates, BIOS or drivers I apply. During startup, the monitor shows bootup and BIOS using the GPU, but it freezes when I begin loading Windows. After a fresh installation, the graphics card functions properly—until I install the Windows updates (those that come with a clean setup) along with the AMD drivers. I own an Intel processor and an MSI motherboard, but both the GPU support, Windows support and motherboard remain unclear. I’m planning to ask the community if they’ve encountered similar issues before.

Would you like to adjust the display settings to prioritize your PCIe GPU within the BIOS configuration?

Thank you for the feedback. MSI and I attempted that earlier today. The issue persists despite trying to uninstall the integrated graphics driver and disable it.

You haven’t attached your hardware details. Your system runs Windows 11 with an Intel 13900K, AMD 7900 XTX, Samsung 990 Pro M.2, and 192GB Corsair RAM. The MSI 790 Tomahawk Wi-Fi supports maximum Wi-Fi performance.

I realized the issue by accident... My latest monitor has a daisy chain function, but it seems the graphics card doesn’t support it. I ended up paying for something I couldn’t use, so that’s the situation now.
