Alright team, here’s what I’ve gathered so far about this project. As you might have noticed, trying Watch_Dogs on PC has been a real challenge, especially with older setups. But thanks to Tony MBR’s updated Maldo textures, some adjustments in-game, and TheWorse 1.0, the game has finally behaved much better for me. My main goal in this post is to share the same great experience I had after spending a lot of time tweaking the game for optimal performance. If you’re curious about my setup, just check out my rig – it’s a PNY XLR8 240 SSD drive. I’ve also placed the game on my primary boot drive. For a quick preview, here are some screenshots showing what I achieved.

If you’re interested in the technical details, feel free to look at my system specs. I’ve attached a few images to illustrate the improvements. Just keep in mind, using the High Bloom mod can ruin everything and make lighting too harsh, so stick with Low Bloom plus High Fog instead.

Here’s what I did step by step:
1. Downloaded the cmh175_TW_Watch_Dogs Mod from the provided link.
2. Followed the instructions precisely – reinstalling the mod each time is crucial.
3. Set the game to High Textures (not Ultra) to avoid performance drops.
4. Enabled BORDERLESS WINDOW MODE if you notice stuttering.

That’s it for now. If you have any questions or need further help, just let me know! This should give you a solid starting point for getting Watch_Dogs running smoothly.

Thanks to Tony MBR, Maldo, TheWorse, and cmh175 for their support.

I’m curious about your perspective. It sounds like you’ve had a few troubles with the installation process, which might have made you hesitant. Did the gameplay feel uninteresting enough to keep you from trying again?

It's a bit hot here—75°C is quite warm, even by what I consider normal.

These images were meant solely to help with this discussion, and I didn’t update my fan profile as I normally do. My cooler has a blower-style design that often reaches 70-75% at 1225Mhz. I also wear headphones, which affects the sound.

The tale was quite captivating, though. While I was using Watch Dogs (before my 290X), I was experiencing 90-95c Reference 6870 kill em.

Intentionally mimicking an older style without trying to sound pretentious. It feels like a classic 2007 title.

With my profile configured correctly, I maintain a stable temperature around 68 degrees, occasionally reaching 70.

I understand your frustration. The screenshots seem to be getting compressed, which affects their quality. You might want to check the settings or try a different format to restore their original size.

I believed Ubi had updated the fix so the issue would no longer occur.
