Today's build is complete, but it's running slower than expected for your PC. I'm struggling with this setup and it's my first time putting one together!

Check GPU performance using firestrike or similar tools. Compare results with prime 95 or cinebench for CPU. Use aid64 or other reliable benchmarks. Avoid fake sources; refer to trusted sites like Gamer Nexus or Hardware Unboxed.

Check your RAM performance. If it's slow, consider upgrading or optimizing your system.

The CPU Z rating appears to be modest. Testing the 3100 against a 1600 showed slight lag in multi-threaded tasks but strong performance in single-thread scenarios. That’s typical behavior.

As TofuHaroto mentioned, the benchmark you're referring to is typically done using tools like Cinebench or 3DMark. I personally rely on Passmark Performance Test because it provides detailed metrics for each component such as drive RAM, GPU, and CPU. This approach has been available since the 286 and 386 eras.

Instructions given were to avoid using furmark prior, and guidance on applying firestrike was provided. Regarding your system, it seems your RAM might be underperforming.

Which motherboard are you using? The description mentions RAM in slots #1 and #2, but if your board has four slots, it should be in slots #2 and #4 instead. Otherwise, you're likely using a single-channel setup.

Why did they tell you this and who was responsible? I don’t understand the frequency either. Could you share an image?
