If your CPU is using 100% and causing lag even with a high-end system, try this solution. It helped me with my 9th i7 2060ti. You can watch the video for more details if it worked.
Failed to boot. CPU usage hovers near 70-80%, but spikes into the high 90s during gaming sessions in urban areas. Everyone seems confused about the issue. I've set up a brand new Windows 10 installation on my secondary SSD using Blizzard Launcher, NVIDIA drivers, MSI Afterburner, and Core Temp. Despite these adjustments, it keeps dropping frames and stuttering. My friend playing alongside me isn't experiencing any problems—he's running at 1080p but still sees frame drops. I've lowered all settings to low or off, and the GPU usage is around 80% while CPU stays near 88%.
The same issue occurred with my older system (i5 2500k), once I capped the gameplay FPS at 60, the stuttering disappeared.
Consider trying to disable 'Windows Game Mode' in the settings. It might improve performance or stability. Worth a try!
Warzone is a challenging title. I'm hoping to convince Linus to set up a PC for testing. Is the issue hardware-related or tied to the game itself? I've invested in a new machine but haven't reached 240 fps yet. It looks like the game's optimization plays a big role—I can achieve 240 fps on other games, but not here.
I believe I resolved the problem by fully deleting the Nvidia software using ddu, then installing just the drivers. I didn’t install the experience package. No further issues have occurred so far.
Do you enable G-Sync? It helps eliminate that choppy effect.
