This system needs to run securely from the first boot.
Hey there, I'm trying to upgrade to W11 but running into some trouble. I managed to enable TPM2.0, yet the "PC must support secure boot" message keeps appearing. My system is stuck in legacy BIOS and I need to switch to UEFI. I've checked the info from Microsoft, but it's still unclear how to proceed safely. I saw some Reddit threads from users with similar setups saying their devices won't turn on properly. My Aorus x570 Elite uses Wi-Fi, and I'm not sure why it isn't already configured correctly. Any advice would be super helpful!
It seems your BIOS is up to date and TPM 2.0 is enabled, yet the secure boot problem persists. Check other settings or consult the manufacturer's support resources.
Enable UEFI instead of legacy. Make sure the boot drive is GPT, not MBR. Check that a secure boot option is available before proceeding.
Ensure the operating system is set up on the MBR drive before switching to GPT. If issues arise, consider installing Windows 11 via a virtual machine or using a workaround on older systems.
Verify your disk type—MBR or GPT—and consider conversion if needed. A clean installation may be the best option.
