Consider these steps: unplug the cable and plug it back in, restart your computer, verify the driver, and ensure the manufacturer’s driver is installed. Disable and re-enable the interface in Windows. If these don’t resolve the issue, inspect your switch, check the duplex setting, restart it, and test with a different known good cable.

Are you sure the computer is powered down before you connect the 100mbps connection? Some devices automatically set to 100mbps when the router is active—make sure all four cables are connected properly.
