It doesn't function that way. The rankings balance out. You can notice another squad has a similar number of players.

Because Go is a humorous game, I’m DMG and ready to compete with all my serious global and eagle friends after a six-month hiatus. In games like League, the gap between gold and diamond is huge, but in Go the gap between damage and global is significant—especially since both sides have similar skill levels.
