Hello! Welcome to the forum. I'm just getting started with building PCs and have an idea in mind: a setup with a Ryzen 9 3900X and a 3070 processor running 32GB RAM. I'm curious if there could be any issues between the CPU and GPU, or if switching to a Ryzen 7 would help. I want to make sure I'm making the right choice before moving forward. Thanks!

I believe there won’t be any delays, unless you’re working on intense video editing or 3D rendering. Stick with a 7 and consider upgrading if needed. I’m not sure what you’re after, but I think you probably don’t require the Ryzen 9.

Zen 2 runs a bit slower in games compared to the latest CPUs, so you'd likely choose something faster like a 10850K or 5800X for gaming. However, if you want the extra power of 12 cores for productivity, go with that instead.
