Hey there, looking for a fix. I recently purchased a second 4TB NVMe Gen 4 drive for my build and wanted to move away from SATA SSDs. My B650e PG Ripley Wi-Fi has three M2 slots; the first is Gen 5 with an ADATA S70 blade 4TB NVMe, which has been reliable for a year. This time I went for the Lexar NM790 4TB, a highly rated SSD. I mistakenly connected it to the slot that only supports Gen 3 x2, and it only performs about a quarter of its full capacity. So I swapped it to a nearby slot, which should be Gen 4 x4, but it didn’t work at all—BIOS didn’t recognize it. I’ve tried older BIOS versions, adjusted PCIe settings, but nothing helped. When I plugged it back into the Gen 3 slot, it worked fine. I also tried a 1TB M2 SSD as a backup, but it didn’t show up either. Any suggestions? My motherboard lacks warranty since the plastic GPU slot holder broke off recently—making it hard to remove the GPU properly. It’s just plastic, but the RMA won’t accept it because it counts as physical damage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
