The noise level is around 59c at 2400rpm with the fan curve in place. I wasn’t sure a PC could be that loud, but maybe lowering the RPM would help. What settings should I use on that page? Is the sound typical for someone playing games all day? My previous GPU was quieter.
2400 is quite loud, the second curve works fine. At 71°C you should aim for 52% rpm, which translates to 1500/1600—much quieter. A 1080Ti might have handled noise better but struggled with high temperatures, while the 7900 offers a choice between the two, though not both at once.
You're still figuring out the best fan settings for your GPU. The stock fan runs around 1600 RPM at 73°C average temperature and 84°C at the junction. For a 7900X, typical good temperatures are usually between 60-80°C for the junction and around 70-75°C during normal operation.
It works well for me. At the same pace, my 7900xtx runs at 65C/85C—possibly because the larger die and better cooling help keep the temps lower.
