This setting won't boost the RAM to 4000MHz
I used two distinct kits that matched the specifications and maker. They only worked reliably at 2933mhz, not at 4000mhz. Ram: G.Skills 17-17-17-37 @1.35v (4x8GB) Motherboard: Asus Extreme PSU: 1200w full load. I attempted to increase voltage to the RAM up to 1.40v but it didn’t help.
Update your BIOS settings, adjust VCCIO and VCCSA to around 1.25V, and set DRAM voltage between 1.4-1.45V. Experiment with XMP I and XMP II modes. If nothing works, it might mean your memory module isn't recognized by the board, requiring manual adjustments.
Technically anything above 2933 is considered an overclock and isn't assured. However, the IMC should manage it well. Adjust the VCC/SA to 1.2-0.1 and consider updating the BIOS.
Seems to be the Trident Z Royal model: https://www.gskill.com/product/165/299/1...GB-(4x8GB). Not listed on the Maximus XII Extreme's QVL.
I'll run it. A bit of memory training is needed. We'll gradually bring the board up to requirements. XMP should be set, and the frequency at 3600mhz is manual. Expect possible delays—maybe a restart is required. The boards aren't in the QVL but function properly.
Check if using lower MHz settings helps. Sometimes the motherboard or CPU doesn't work well with RAM...
