Just for reference, I’m a Windows Insider. That might be relevant, though I thought it was a joke. Anyway, I’m using my PC as usual. After taking a short break, I returned and noticed my mouse acting odd—sluggish, sometimes unresponsive. I restarted. When I logged back in, everything looked fine. I entered the pin for my account: four lowercase letters followed by a number. It was straightforward. But it wasn’t because my laptop kept pressing shift. The number changed to its shifted version (like 1 → !). This made things really confusing. Razer’s support isn’t great, and I don’t have the receipt for this machine—I’m in a tough spot. I tried Windows recovery, but it didn’t help. Eventually, I realized my laptop is touch-enabled. I decided to switch to a touch keyboard just to troubleshoot. Unfortunately, that also caused issues—every few minutes it started typing random keys. Now I’m planning to reinstall Windows and start over. It seems like the problem might be software-related, and the touch keyboard isn’t working either. It’s been a wild ride.

Verify the installation on a real Linux system before rebooting. This helps ensure there are no underlying hardware problems.

Consider checking if Razer support is functional; otherwise, use Device Manager to update your keyboard drivers. Remove the keyboard from your system, restart, or test Caps Lock as alternatives.
