Following several weeks of testing with Origin, the issue could not be reproduced through CPU or GPU tests. Memory performance was satisfactory. They indicated that regardless of shipment to their facility, they would conduct identical tests. Component replacement would only occur if hardware failure was identified. Origin maintains the system is functioning correctly and any remaining issues are considered software-related, falling outside their support scope.

If a driver or other solution cannot be identified, given that the issue involves simply shutting off, which is unusual, backing up files and reinstalling Windows would be considered. Alternatively, reverting to a previous state before the problem began, as it appears to be solely a software malfunction, could be attempted.

A Fortnite update was released yesterday. Following three gameplay sessions, no issues have been encountered. The hardware and operating system are functioning correctly. Stability issues within the game itself are suspected, particularly considering the recent video card installation. Thank you, Mooshy.

Ahh okay. That makes a lot more sense. No problem! Post again if it starts acting up.

The issue recurred following another Fortnite update. I discovered a solution by attempting to load the game while my battery was below 100%, an occurrence rarely happening as I typically use the machine plugged in. Fortnite functioned correctly, which initially seemed illogical. Upon subsequent startup, the laptop reached 100% and shut down. An insight occurred, prompting me to unplug the device to allow the battery to discharge. The game ran without problems. This test was repeated three more times: once with a fully charged battery and once with the battery below 99%. Consistent results were observed in each trial. I adjusted my CPU power settings to: Max: 99% Min: 5%. No issues have occurred since this change.

I have the same model with comparable specifications. What steps did you take to resolve the shutdown problem? Specifically, did you adjust the minimum and maximum processor states within the power options—advanced settings?
