Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I recently purchased my build two weeks ago and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. During this time, the computer started producing a faint buzzing noise, similar to an electrical hum. It's not extremely loud, but it's definitely perceptible. I'm thinking the issue might be related to the power supply unit. I attempted to disable all fans except the PSU fan, yet the sound persisted. Interestingly, when I run games like Battlefield 2042 in the background while using the desktop, the buzzing sound shifts and changes slightly depending on the game state. Upon restarting, the sound profile seems to adjust instantly, which doesn't match what I'd expect from a PSU fan issue. When nothing is running, the noise disappears. Some people online suggest it could be coming from the motherboard or a transistor, but I'm not sure. If you have any insights or advice, please share. I've attached a video showing the noise variations during game sessions for your reference.

It might be coil whine. It can definitely become bothersome, though it doesn’t harm your PC in any harmful ways. This noise can also come from your graphics card. Motherboards are less likely to cause it, but complaints about that are rare. The sound shifts depending on how much the CPU and/or GPU are working. When a game runs in the background, it usually uses fewer resources because it often caps frames when you're not paying attention. But when you switch focus back, performance spikes and more power is used, which triggers the whine again. Scene intensity in games can also alter the sound, adding to the annoyance. Still, it only affects you.
