Update: Division 2 ran without any fps drops. Only having issues with stable frames for Apex legends. My speed tests are coming back with about a 2 ping, 300 down, 500 up. Temps are stable under 50C. I will run another set of tests soon.

usually your down should be higher than your up, so something is off there, unless you had a really large download or torrent underway when you did the test

I had no downloads going at the time of testing. Whenever I do my speed test I get a higher upload over download. I realize this is unusual, is this most likely an issue with my router or the something on the internet providers end?

This response provides a detailed explanation of a common issue encountered while gaming with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, particularly those utilizing variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies. It clearly outlines the problem – stuttering and performance issues when running games without an FPS cap – and offers a straightforward solution: reverting to a default FPS cap of 144Hz.

Here’s the rewritten text:

“Many users experience stuttering and inconsistent frame rates when gaming with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, especially those utilizing VRR technologies like G-Sync or FreeSync, without an FPS cap enabled. This occurs because the GPU is constantly trying to push frames beyond the display's refresh rate. The simplest fix is to re-enable a default FPS cap of 144Hz – this ensures the GPU doesn’t overwork and causes performance problems.”

Ok thanks you for your response, glad it is not just me. I will take your advise and try a few more test games with the FPS cap is on.
