I can work with either kit independently, and the system will handle posting. Previously, my skill kit synced well with the HyperX kit, but the Patriot kit didn’t post at all. I expected it to recognize the Patriot at 2133, while the HyperX runs smoothly at 2400—planning to test both manually at that setting. Any suggestions? I’m considering switching kits but want to see if there’s a workaround before returning this Amazon purchase. It’s an ASUS Z170-A board with an i7 6700K processor.
Combining memories isn’t always successful. It’s probably one of those moments.
Are the matching sticks placed in a pattern of alternating slots? (For example, in the 2133 kit, sticks go into slots 2 and 4, while the 2400 kit uses slots 1 and 3, or vice versa). Also consider updating your BIOS if you haven't already.
It seems like you're expressing frustration. Let me know how I can help!
That's correct, I've already pressed the reset option, which seems to be a way for the motherboard to search for compatible settings.
