Hey there, I’m new around and sorry for any confusion. I was attempting to adjust my BIOS settings to enable AMD fTPM using the instructions in that video. Now my PC won’t boot, there’s no display, and there are no sounds from the motherboard. When it starts, the fans kick on and lights turn on, but then they keep spinning up and slowing down every few seconds without stopping. I’ve tried several fixes: re-seating RAM, removing the CMOS battery overnight with a jumper on the CLRCMOS pins (and unplugging the power cable), changing the GPU, and even cleaning dust. Still nothing works. Any suggestions?
People often notice ways to reset after clearing CMOS and rebooting, even when a different GPU is used. You can check your BIOS settings and turn off the FTPM feature manually. Restarting through Clear CMOS or removing the battery doesn’t always undo the change.
Responded quickly! Appreciate it. I swapped my RX570 for two RX560 units. I’ve seen the 570 lights up but neither of the 560s do. I’ll begin fresh and test it in the alternate PCIe lane—turn off, remove battery, clear CMOS, wait 15 minutes, then boot the GPU from the 560 (the one installed at that time) in a new slot. Also unplugged the HDDs in case it boots straight to BIOS. Keep an eye on it! Thanks again.
