Updated my 8700k to 4.7ghz all cores @ 1.31v with LLC at 3 and AVX offset of 3. It worked stably during Prime95 stress testing for 30 minutes.
Attempted to reach 5ghz but experienced BSOD and crashes once the test started. Voltage was set to 1.415v and still had issues. I don’t want to exceed that voltage as it seems excessively high for a 5ghz setting.
Am I making a mistake? I also tried level 5 LLC but it crashed again.

Not every CPU is compatible for OC at the same frequency, which leads to "binning." If all could run stably at 5GHz, Intel would have said so. Some refer to this as the "Silicone lottery."
